    Sustainable Dance Clubs

How would you like to feel good about a night of dancing (besides the good cardio workout)? Well, here is a way some nightclubs can and are doing that. Enviu, is a company of sustainability innovators. Basically, they come up with ways for companies and businesses to be more earth friendly. And a recent development by them is the Sustainable Dance Club. The way it works is that the actual dance floor is built to harness the energy you create by dancing. It then turns it into power (somehow it does this, but I am not scientific enough to explain) by small generators/converters that are underneath the floor. This energy is then used to power the night club.
How cool is that?! Of course this is all coming to life from the Netherlands, but hopefully America will jump on the band wagon, if they haven't already. I think New York City would love this!

Here is a short video/commercial highlighting this new technology.

    CHAM!! NYC

Cham is a ritual dance of Bhutan. It is an ancient ritual dance of Tantric Buddhism. It has been performed for centuries in Bhutan at religious festivals to illustrate teachings and/or moral instruction. This video shows the dance being performed in Battery Park NYC. It is performed by Buddhist Monks and during the dance both performers and audiences gain merit. It was hosted by the Rubin Museum of Art www.rmanyc.org.
